Director of Assessment Services
Full-Time
Full Job Description
Responsibilities:
-
Conduct clinical interviews with parents and clients.
-
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments/evaluations, including extensive use of standardized instruments, with children and young adults.
-
Experience and knowledge in assessment of numerous domains of functioning including the following: cognitive, academic, attention, executive functioning, learning and memory, and social/emotional/behavioral functioning.
-
Ability to independently determine the most appropriate assessment battery for a particular client based on relevant history and reason for referral.
-
Adhere to all mental health legal and ethical mandates and guidelines in the execution of duties, including timely completion of charting, billing, report preparation and ethical/confidentiality issues as outlined by the American Psychological Association.

Meet productivity expectations as assigned.

Oversee all aspects of assessment services.
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

Ability to connect with children and parents

Communication skills, both oral and written
-
Outstanding organizational skills and careful attention to detail

Ability to interact effectively with children of a variety of ages
-
Ability to be playful and to engage children flexibly at developmentally appropriate levels
-
An openness to working with children of a variety of disorders

Ability to work independently and as a team member

Experience working with a pediatric population
Requirements:
-
Ph.D. or PsyD in Neuropsychology, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology or Psychology
-
Current and valid professional license as a Psychologist in Massachusetts
-
Experience diagnosing Autism and Learning Disorders

Occupational Therapist
Full-Time/Part-Time
Responsibilities:
-
Evaluate and provide individual treatment to pediatric clients aged 0-21 with various diagnosis and disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and complex medical needs.
-
Design treatment plans that are, motivating, developmentally appropriate and have measurable outcomes.
-
Assess the daily/weekly change of your clients, and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
-
Sensitively consider the client and family’s racial, cultural, and socio-economic background when evaluating and developing appropriate treatment plans, with understanding of how a child’s life experiences may be impacted by social determinants
-
Partner with families to develop plans for maximum carry-over, with consideration of the family’s daily routines, dynamics, resources and ability to extend services into their home
-
Actively and collaboratively co-treat with a team of cross-disciplinary clinicians.

Supervise COTAs, including assigning caseload and treatment schedules, observing and providing consultation
Skills:
-
Have a strong relationship builder who can easily gain rapport with children and families alike. You take the time to learn about your client and their family’s experiences outside of the clinic to develop treatment plans that are both practical and effective

Knowledgeable of a wide range of functional adaptive equipment, techniques and strategies and how they are appropriately implemented with age group.

Current with evidence based practices.

Have time management skills while also being flexible to adjust to changes in daily scheduling, and completing documentation and billing requests on time.

Advocate for your caseload and families.
-
Have experience working with or caring for an individual with special healthcare needs
-
Understanding of the experiences that families encounter when seeking and participating in therapeutic treatment for their children

Have respect and understanding for diverse racial, ethnic, cultural, linguistic, socioeconomic backgrounds, abilities, and family structures, and are understanding of how social determinants may impact individuals’ experiences
Requirements:

Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Massachusetts.
